Diagnostic Laparoscopy Playing an Important Role in Diagnosis of The Diseases

22:43:00 0

What is diagnostic laparoscopy?

A laparoscope is designed as a telescope for medical use. The laparoscope is connected to high-intensity light and a high-resolution monitor so that the surgeon can look inside the patient's organs and tissues. It is a made of thin metal tube attached with a light and tiny camera. A hollow tube is placed through the abdominal wall, and a laparoscope is inserted into the port. The image of the inside of the abdomen is seen on the monitor with high resolution on the monitor so that surgeons can look on the inner parts and could complete the procedure.

The diagnostic laparoscopy is performed during-

Abdominal pain: The diagnosis of acute and chronic abdominal pain is performed, with the causes of appendicitis, intraabdominal scar tissue, adhesions, cancer or pelvic infection. It is used on a patient with irritable bowel disease to remove other causes of abdominal pain.

Ascites: The fluid present in the abdominal cavity is known as ascites, it is accomplished with laparoscopy.

Liver disease: When the non-invasive imaging cannot give the physician enough information, then a diagnostic laparoscopy is the safest and accurate way for the best results in liver diseases.

Second, look for the procedure: When the doctor needs the second opinion for previously treated diseases such as cancer, then a diagnostic laparoscopy becomes an option.

Others: The other method will be suggested by the surgeon that will be reviewed according to the patient's needs.

IVF versus diagnostic laparoscopy

IVF stands for in-vitro fertilization; it helps in the process of fertilization, where a complex series of procedures used to help with fertilization or prevent genetic problems and assist with the conception of a child. IVF is less invasive than laparoscopy but both have a high success rate in their terms.  Some doctors will opt to skip laparoscope and proceed for IVF.  Sometimes the problem encountered with a laparoscope is pelvic adhesive and endometriosis that can be effectively treated with IVF.

Benefits of the diagnostic laparoscopy

Working with a diagnostic laparoscopy has several advantages compared to the tradition surgery method as it is minimally invasive. The traditional method has generally cost high and more extended hospital stay but with diagnostic laparoscopy, the patient has the benefits of-

  •         Smaller scars
  •         Lesser hospital stay
  •         Less pain
  •         Less internal scarring
  •         Patient get back to normal activities sooner
  •         Quicker healing
  •          Lower cost for surgery
  •         Less risk of infection

How is Diagnostic Laparoscopy Performed?

The procedure is generally performed with general anesthesia. Although laparoscopy is used in a number of different treatments such as abdominal hernia repairs and removing the appendix. It mainly focuses on the gynecological use of pelvic laparoscopy. The surgeon uses the device with an attached light on the camera to help them look clearly on the parts of organ damage and disease.
During the surgery with diagnostic laparoscopy, the surgeon makes a small incision in the abdomen and inserts the laparoscope through it. The surgeon then uses a catheter for clear imaging of the organ in the abdomen and pelvis. With additional surgical instruments like uterine manipulator is inserted into the vagina, uterus, and cervix to allow for pelvic organ movement to see different pelvic anatomy. After the completion of the surgery, the surgeon removes the instruments and closes the incision with stitches and cover the area with a bandage.

What is Cost in India?

Depending on the type of surgery patients go for, the procedure is carried out with the help of a laparoscope. The traditional method used was higher in cost but with the newer minimally invasive methods the cost has been reduced with minimal cuts. The exact cost of surgery in India is lower than the cost in other developed countries. The exact cost of Surgery with Diagnostic laparoscopy will depend on the factor such as the city patient is arriving in India, the number of days patient stays, the type of surgery doctor suggests for treatment and other types of surgery if the doctor suggests for the patient. In India, with the help of medical tourism providers like Indian Med Guru Diagnostic Laparoscopic cost is reduced as per the cost of the procedure in the USA, Singapore, Thailand and other countries.

Most Advanced And Affordable Leukemia Treatment In India

23:30:00 0

What is Leukemia?

Leukemia is a blood cancer caused due to an abnormal rise in the number of white blood cells in our body. The blood cells i.e.  Red Blood Cells (RBCs), White blood Cells (WBCs) and Platelets are produced in bone marrow in the cavities of bones.
Leukemia begins when white blood cells produced by bone marrow do not mature properly. These abnormal WBCs or leukemic cells continue to accumulate and outnumber Red Blood Cells and Platelets.

These additional and immature White Blood Cells or leukemic cells are not capable of fighting infection and also interfere with the functioning and production of other blood cells. As a result of over growth of immature WBCs i.e. leukemic cells, the number of RBCs, Platelets and healthy WBCs in blood falls.

The exact causes of leukemia are not known. However, risk factors for development of leukemia may be:

·        Family history of leukemia
·        Genetic disorders such as Down syndrome
·        Blood disorders, such as myelodysplastic syndrome, also known as Preleukemia
·        Viral infection
·        Previous treatment for cancer with chemotherapy or radiation
·        Exposure to high levels of radiation
·        Exposure to chemicals such as Benzene
·        Smoking that may increase risk of developing Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

Leukemia is classified as:
  •         Acute – in which onset is sudden and leukemic cells multiply rapidly
  •         Chronic – in which the disease progression is slow.

Usually there are four major types of Leukemia such as:
·        Acute myelogenous leukemia (AML)
·        Acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL)
·        Chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML)
·        Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL)

Depending upon type and stage, Leukemia treatment involves procedures like:
  •     Chemotherapy
  •         Radiation therapy
  •         Stem cell transplantation also termed as Bone Marrow Transplantation
  •         Biological Therapy
  •         Immune therapy
  •         Interferon therapy
  •         Targeted therapy
  •         Surgery

For treating slower growing leukemia, such as chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), often oncologists prefer to wait and watch and may not treat actively.

Symptoms of Leukemia

Generally in the early stages, symptoms are not noticed. As per type of leukemia, different signs appear. However, common symptoms of leukemia include:
  • Fatigue or Weakness
  • Bruising or bleeding easily
  • Fever  often with chills
  • Night sweats
  • Severe Infections that keep reoccurring
  • Shortness of breath
  • Pain in your bones or joints
  • Headaches
  • Nausea and Vomiting
  • Seizures
  • Weight loss
  • Swollen lymph nodes
  • Splenomegaly i.e. enlargement of spleen

Stages of Leukemia

For acute leukemia, there are no stages defined.  However, treatment of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia depends upon its 5 different stages that include:
  •         Stage 0 - with too many lymphocytes in blood with no other symptoms.
  •         Stage I - swollen lymph nodes because of too many lymphocytes.
  •    Stage II - lymph nodes, spleen and liver are swollen because too many lymphocytes.
  •        Stage III - with evident anemia because lymphocytes are crowding out red cells in blood.
  •     Stage IV -  with Anemia, very few platelets in blood and swollen lymph nodes, spleen and liver.

Cost of Leukemia Treatment in India

Cost of Leukemia treatment in India depends upon:
  •        Doctor’s stature and expertise
  •         Type of hospital
  •         Type of  Leukemia
  •         Stage of Leukemia
  •         Treatment procedure
  •         Diagnostic procedures
  •         Additional medical or surgical treatment
  •         Additional services availed
As there are many world-class hospitals that provide best blood cancer treatment in India, the cost of leukemia treatment is highly affordable.

Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) : Uses, Requirements and Success Rate

03:16:00 0

Overview

Intrauterine insemination infertility treatment is referred to as the way toward putting prepared sperm into the uterus. It is the way toward isolating and cleansing of sperm for the removal of dead, non-motile and toxic sperms from which just stable and quick sperm are extracted, which have higher odds of fertilizing the egg present inside. The prepared sperm are set inside the uterus of a lady while she is ovulating. This is finished with the assistance of a catheter. IUI infertility treatment is fundamental when compared with IVF-in-vitro fertilization, as in IUI, the procedure is like that of the natural process.

During IUI, your doctor will put washed, prepared sperm into your uterus (belly) and close to your egg at your season of ovulation. This procedure is regularly joined with fertility drugs to expand your odds of conceiving.

When to plan for IUI

Doctors generally suggest an IUI in instances of mild endometriosis, unexplained infertility, poor cervical mucus, ejaculatory failure, gentle male subfertility or ovulatory dysfunction. IUI is a productive, financially savvy, and less invasive treatment and therefore, it is a favored first line of treatment for infertility.

Cities in India Where Treatment Is Available

The main factor that leads couples to pick IUI over IVF, while considering past fertility drugs, is the moderately low IUI cost. The typical Intrauterine Insemination cost in India is Rs. 8000/ - however, this cost varies from city to city and facility to center.

Pregnancy tests and early ultrasound monitoring intrauterine-insemination-IUI-medical procedure India is accessible in urban areas like Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kerala, Delhi, Pune, Goa, Bangalore, Nagpur, Jaipur, Chennai, Gurgaon, and Chandigarh.

Though success rates per cycle are a lot higher, IUI is altogether more affordable. The method is likewise more straightforward and less invasive. If IVF is out of your value to extend, various IUI cycles may be better decision, depending upon the reason for infertility. Another alternative to consider is smaller standard IVF. The final decision of the couple to go for IUI should, therefore, be weighed on the components, including the time of lady, type of infertility, and individual funds. Speak to your doctor to understand all your alternatives and risks.

Candidates, Female Partner Requirements

The female partner ought to have no critical fertility issues. Tests should show typical ovulation, open fallopian tubes and a joint uterine cavity.

• Women with ovulatory disorders can be a possibility for IUI if they react satisfactorily to fertility drugs. In these cases, hormone treatments invigorate ovulation and the IUI is coordinated to happen around the time of ovulation. Hormone treatments are generally utilized in any event, for ladies without the ovulatory issue.

• Women with endometriosis may profit by IUI if they don't have mutilation of the pelvic structures. Ladies with mild endometriosis are typically treated comparably to ladies with unexplained infertility.

• Women with severely damaged or blocked fallopian cylinders won't be helped by IUI.

Success Rate of IUI

The success rate of IUI is like the pregnancy pace of wealthy couples accomplishing conception all alone. The odds of getting pregnant are 10%-20% with a single IUI cycle. This increments to as high as 80% with 3 to 6 cycles of IUI. However, the success rate of IUI relies upon a few components like the period of lady, semen test of man, and medical condition. The information proposes that the success pace of IUI diminishes with age and the chances of success for a woman >40 years old have under 8%. In this manner, doctors don't prescribe IUI in ladies over 40 years old. The success rate of IUI is most noteworthy for infertility with unexplained reason and dysovulatory infertility.

Fadwa Nahas from Kuwait Underwent a Brain Tumour surgery In India and Found a New Life Calling

03:20:00 0
My name is Fadwa Nahas, during the fall of 2015; I had just turned 40 and was at the top of my career. However, I suddenly found myself getting very tired and exhausted every weekend. I could not help my family. Once while working out, I was dizzy and fainted from there was immediately taken to emergency room, the doctors thought I had a heart attack. But after undergoing few tests it showed no heart problems, so I went back to my regular work.  Then I consulted a neurologist, who asked me to get an MRI. The next day, I was called to meet the surgeon as soon as possible. I called up Amal and stated, "I don't know what's happening, but I do not think it is good." it wasn't -- I had a malignant tumor positioned deep in my brain.

The first surgeon who I consulted wanted to operate me the very next day, and I had only three years to live, and could not assure good quality of life. We said good-bye to him, started doing research on our own. After I received my diagnosis, me and my husband began searching neurosurgeons online to determine where I should get treated. I looked everywhere for a probable treatment, there we found about neurosurgeons in India are very skilled to handle the most complex cases, and to make the process easy we thought of getting in touch with some medical facilitator who can assist us to choose the best that is what brought us to Indian med guru consultant, finally after speaking to a case manager of the company, we ultimately decided to undergo the brain tumour surgery at best hospital in India for meningioma treatment.

During my appointment, with the best neurosurgeon in India, after reading several online reviews my doubts were allayed and I was confident I was in good hands. I feel grateful to him today. My neurosurgeon was a highly-skilled surgeon and put me at ease before the surgery. The scans revealed that the meningioma was attached to the main vessels that allow blood to flow and return to the body. My neurosurgeon wanted to wait for few days to carry out surgical procedure; in the meantime, I got a secondary MRI which will correctly localize the meningioma on the time of surgical operation. The surgery went as planned, and the tumour was removed successfully. I was kept under observation for the next few days following surgery. After closely monitoring my brain swelling improvements, I was discharged the following week.

After being discharged, I was filled with a sense of overwhelming ease; I knew that I was going to be alright now. Thankfully as my neurosurgeon had anticipated, the tumour was a benign meningioma, and thus had not spread to other parts of my brain. During the weeks after surgery, I took a lot of rest and gradually got back to my old self again. I thought after the surgery I might feel weak, but that was not the case. The headache was gone and within a week all the other symptoms have also dissipated. It has been great. The expertise of the neurosurgeon along with the clinical infrastructure and patient care facility at the hospital has been commendable. After a week of my hospital stay, I am still in contact them for further check-ups are required. The doctor said that I would be ultimately fit to fly back home within 2 weeks. Now back in Kuwait, I would like to say a big thank you to Indian med guru consultant they made it everything possible. I got a new lease on life, and it’s all because of the company’s assistance so a huge thank you.”

Thanking you,
Fadwa Nahas

5 steps to fight Leukemia Cancer Treatment

04:33:00 0
What is Leukemia Treatment?

Leukemia is a type of cancer that affects blood cell formation and the lymphatic system. It can be classified by cell type, lymphoid or myeloid, and the rate of progression, acute or chronic. There are 4 main subtypes of leukemia: acute lymphoid leukemia (ALL), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), chronic lymphoid leukemia (CLL), and chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). ALL and AML progress rapidly and therefore require more aggressive treatment to improve the life expectancy of the patient, whereas CLL and CML progress slowly over time and may go undiagnosed for years.

Who needs Leukemia Treatment?

Leukemia occurs whilst the DNA of immature blood cells, specifically white cells, turns into damaged in some manner. This can be suspected if you have certain risks or concerning signs and symptoms. Your doctor will begin with a complete history and physical examination, but leukemia can’t be fully diagnosed by a physical exam. Instead, doctors will use blood tests, biopsies, and imaging tests to make a diagnosis.

What Are the Leukemia Treatment Options?

The following are treatment options for leukemia:
Chemotherapy is the prime treatment for many sorts of leukemia.
Stem cell transplant may be an option for some people younger than 55 years of age.
Radiation therapy is most often used to prevent leukemia from spreading to, or treat leukemia that has spread to, the central nervous system. It is also used to prepare the bone marrow for stem cell transplant.
Targeted treatment is provided for some sorts of leukemia.

Watchful waiting is a treatment alternative for some people with chronic lymphocyte leukemia.

Supportive therapy is given to tackle the anticipated complications of the leukemia and its treatments.

A life-changing story of Sabiya Alaoui from Qatar, UAE undergoing bone marrow transplant in India

How long does it take lead a Normal Life after Leukemia Treatment?

Considerable advances in the treatment of leukemia cancer suggest that growing numbers of people are being cured in their sickness. Most people look ahead to the end of treatment as a time when they can re-enter life and re-set up a ‘normal’ life. While for most of the people life will become a lot less complicated while treatment finishes, it is also a length where significant adjustments have to be made.

What is the Life Expectancy after a Leukemia Treatment?

Survival rates can deliver person more details about the outlook for their illness and help them to devise treatment and care. However, survival rates are only ever an estimate. To find survival rates, five years later, they look at data on the same group of people. The percentage of people in that group who are still living with the disease 5 years on is the survival rate.

If you are looking for leukemia cancer treatment, India is best place at an affordable cost. For more details Contact at: +91-9370586696 or send your query at: contact@indianmedguru.com
